The actor played the lead role in the series ‘Journeyman’ and was liked by everyone. I guess the series was more popular because of him, rather than the story or plot. Even I used to watch the series just because of him.

‘Journeyman’ has been called cancelled after its very first season, which had thirteen episodes in it. The series revolved around Kevin’s character, Dan Vassar. Dan was happily married with a son, in the series. When for reasons unknown, he ends up traveling into the past. He changes people’s lives, sometimes for the better, but sometimes not. While he keeps jumping to his past, once Dan reconnects with his ex-fiancée, Livia, whom he believed was killed in a plane crash but is actually a traveler like him. The series was about the strange journey that he undertakes.

Well, all those who like Kevin and thought that they will miss him; can relax, as you can see the handsome guy in ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. Kevin McKidd will be returning to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ for the second time. He will be playing the role of military surgeon, Dr. Owen Hunt. This will be his second appearance on the fifth season of the series. Not only this, it is also in news that he will be returning to the series for quite some episodes. There are quite possible chances that the actor will become a series regular.

I guess Kevin’s fans have all the reasons to smile. They can get to see more of their favorite star and that also in a new and different role. So, enjoy the series and your favorite stars.

If you know and if you don’t know, Summit Entertainment is looking forward to reinvent the HIGHLANDER series. Well, the latest buzz is that the Scottish Actor Kevin Mckidd has been approached by the creators’ to star in the upcoming remake.

It sounds fantastic and Kevin Mckidd’s fans will definitely rejoice after reading the above statements. Well, I think he’s a kinda man who can be fitted in every role and who has enough capability to portray his roles very well. As per my views, remaking of Highlander is a terrible idea but if they’re going to do it with Kevin Mckidd, then, I must appreciate their choice… at least they have chosen who’s actually Scottish.

Kevin Mckidd himself revealed that he’s been approached about starring in New Highlander film. Well, this red-hot guy didn’t reveal more about the series and his role, but whatever he said is enough for us to say ‘hurrah….. Mckidd will be playing Connor McLeod on Highlander.

Let’s now see another interesting aspect. I’ve watched him on two shows ‘Journeyman’ and ‘Made of Honor’. On Journeyman he portrays a sensitive and pretty guy and on ‘Made of Honor’, he appears as a tough and traditional Scotsman. Let’s combine these two roles and what comes out? Hey! It’s Connor McLeod of Highlander and I am really very crazy to watch Kevin portraying Connor… after all, he’s my favorite character on Journeyman.

‘Aliens in America’ has been already cancelled, Chances of ‘The Boondocks’ season 3 are very less, and ‘Carpoolers’ is already gone…. And many more shows are on the verge of cancellation. The next name on the list is ‘Journeyman’. NBC has cancelled the series so we’ll have to say ‘BYE’ to it.

Really, Journeyman’s cancellation hurts. I was deeply involved with the series and who doesn’t love Kevin McKidd… everything was interesting and ratings were also good but nothing could save the Journeyman and it’s gone. If we talk about the storyline, then I think lots of things are here which do need clarifications and series has enough stuff to give us another season. Then, what led it to its cancellation?

It was Writers Guild of America’s strike which effected many TV shows and Journeyman is one of them. Strike has two kinds of effects- Positive and Negative. Positive effects saved many shows as such Dirty Sexy Money from being cancelled and Negative effects throw some shows into ‘Cancelled’ list. I’ve already mentioned above the names of those unlucky shows.

AHH! What to do. Hey! If you’re frustrated because of all these cancellations, then, I do have a suggestion for you. Just download all episodes from season 1 and watch your favorite ones… That’s what I’m doing nowadays to feel a little relaxed after tough office hours!

The credit of any series’ success and failure definitely goes to its star cast so hats off to Journeyman’s star-cast who made it a successful as well as a good rated TV show. WOW!!! Now, it’s the time to disclose the name of the personality who attracted me a lot… (Sorry, if it doesn’t match with yours’ choice). He is Kevin McKidd as Dan Vasser… the leading character on series. At the beginning of the show, he is a reporter for a newspaper named ‘San Francisco Register’ and lives a peaceful life along with his wife Katie Vasser and a son named Jack Vasser. The whole plot line revolves around him and he leads other characters on the show. Approximately 10 years before the beginning of series, he was engaged to Livia. She met with an accident (plane crash) and is believed to have been killed. Things take an unexpected turn after her death and Katie, who was dating his brother, becomes romantically involved with him. He travels back in time and with every time-trip he realizes that his travels results in something better for others’ lives. Livia assists him on his Journeys.

Kevin plays his role deliberately and I think he’s the perfect choice as Dan Vasser…. You made it man! And fans, who love ‘journeyman’, are very much crazy for you. Keep the things up, Dan.

I know, mixed opinions will come out, if I’ll go for finding an answer to this question about the new season. If this can be considered on the basis of ratings, then I think the show deserves to return back. Initially the show got the average ratings; it was in introductory mode at that time with a confusing storyline. But in the final stage of the season it earned superb rankings. So from there it can be judged that people started liking the show in the end of the season.

The reason may be that, in the beginning, the story was pretty confusing, as the incidents were happening in different times with a quick flash, and a person who will start watching the show from third or fourth episode, won’t understand what’s going on the show. It will not be wrong calling it a hard-core sci-fi. Moreover they have blended excessive amount of emotional drama in it, and this neither let it be a sci-fi, nor a complete drama. The reason was the confusing incidents and many unanswered questions.

The show was liked a lot when it moved to the end of the season because, till that time, the story became a little stable. Now, Dan’s brother, wife and son were aware of his time traveling and they became used to with it. Now we know that Livia came into Dan’s life just to give him advice in his missions and she is also a time traveler.

Overall, the drama remained a good entertainer and if it had gone for the new season, it would have been good. But due to writers’ strike it didn’t plan for the new season. But I think this was the perfect time to bring sound developments in the story, but unfortunately it got cancelled.

After first season left the screen, it seemed like yet something more is likely to happen with the story. But alas! The second season never came. Now, more than six months have passed since the confirmation of its cancellation and a very few persons would be remembering it.

Recently I saw its name here on blog roll and watched a few episodes. To be very honest the initial episodes were not very catchy, rather the time travel story seemed very confusing. But when I crossed a few episodes, then the show became a bit entertaining and till the end it picked up thoroughly. At the same time the news of it’s cancellation spread in the air.

In the first episode, Dan is introduced as a time traveler, who travels into different years to correct the things for future. But the episode left many questions that why can’t he mend the incidents related to him only and how can he enter into strangers’ lives. His ex-fiancee Livia also is a hardly understandable character. It is learnt later in the season that her purpose to come in Dan’s life was to unite him with Katie, who is Dan’s Brother Jack’s ex-girl friend. Now somebody tell me why did she get engaged to Dan.

When I moved to next episodes, I got the answer to some extent. She is also a time traveler and she was stuck into the Dan’s present and couldn’t go back for long, so she started her new life by dating Dan. But suddenly one day she succeeded into entering her original life so it appeared to Dan that she has died in a plane crash.

In some episodes it I also shown that Dan’s relationship with Katie got affected due to his time traveling. As this way he came to know about many bitter truths of the past. In an episode he disappears from the air craft and this incident gifted him a ban from traveling into commercial flights.

The over all storyline was pretty slow and every episode left many questions which got answered after many episodes.

Journeyman is an American Science Fiction TV drama which moves around Dan Vassar. Journeyman is a brand new series which is premiered in the fall of 2007. Dan is a happy man with a great wife named Katie and a great as well as lovable kid Zack. As a result, Dan thinks that he has everything what everyone Youngman dreams about. Things vary when he travels back into the past to help the people in trouble. As he is on his journey to past, he changes the lives of other people sometimes for their welfare and sometimes not for their good. During his travel, he meets with Livia Beale. She’s the same girl which he was engaged to before she dies in a plane crash.

Dan knows what’s gonna happen in future, but how he’ll save her life?? And, if he saves her life, how it’d effect his present as well as future?? This is what series is all about and Dan’s journey and his quest to save other people from tragedies is shown along with a handful of interesting romantic events. Other supporting characters on the series are: Dan’s police brother Jack and his boss Hugh.

Journeyman, the title refers to Dan Vassar who plays the Journeyman on the show and all what happens during this journey convinces viewers to see more of the series. Journeyman was premiered on September 24, 2007 and series is cancelled after airing season 1. Series finale ‘Perfidia’ was aired on 12-190-2007.
